Home-Start Volunteers are essential to the work of Home-Start Greenwich and you can help us to make a real difference to families and their children in the local community.
It’s our dedicated volunteers that contribute to a strong community and build better futures for all.
We are looking for individuals who are interested in offering their time to volunteer to support families in their homes and help them to access services in the community.
We offer enhanced training to volunteers and opportunities to aid their development within our Children Centres/Nursery/ Community Projects, Home-Visiting support and Fundraising activities and be a part of the organisation and wider.
Volunteer Recruitment Process
If you are interested in joining us a volunteer, please complete the application form below. Once you have submitted your application, our volunteer coordinator will be in touch to arrange an interview with you.
After the selection process, you would be required to complete a preparation course which covers key elements of Home-Start Greenwich volunteering frameworks, structures, and guiding principles.
Please note as this role involves working with children we will apply for an enhanced DBS for you. We will also require two references from you which ideally should be someone you have known in a professional capacity such as previous employer, school, college etc.
